The Dave Scribner Memorial Cutting was held October 18th - 20th at R & J Arena in Verndale, MN.  This is always a special show honoring Dave and all he meant to the MCHA.  There were many people that worked hard to make this a fun cutting. Jeff Pauly secured the facility and lined up the cattle. Brian Cottrell worked extremely hard with the arena set up and moving cattle.

Brooke Drassal-Creighton did so much for the show; lining up awards; $100 GIFT CERTIFICATE drawing for every class on Saturday sponsored by the MCHA, custom buckle donated by Todd Utpadel for High Point Amateur, organizing everything for the saddle shootout.  She went around and got everyone's song selection; she organized the calcutta and she ordered the pizza provided by the MCHA. Thanks to Scott Christopher for auctioning the calcutta. Thank you to everyone that bought teams in the calcutta.  It always adds excitement to the saddle shootout.  Dava Scribner generously donated the saddles for the Saddle Shootout again.

Travis Grover won the saddle in the Division 1 shootout scoring a 74 on Hollys Cool Cat.  It was extra special as Hollys Cool Cat had been raised by Dave.  Ella Armstrong won the saddle in the Division 2 shootout scoring a 74 on Cat Cole Cash.  There was lots of cheering and excitement and I think everyone had a great time. Everlee Conrad won the $1,000 Rider Sylvan Nelson Memorial Traveling Trophy.  Travis Grover won the High Point Amateur buckle.  Thank you to all the helpers in the pen that put in long days - Travis Grover, Justin Vroman, Jolynn McDonald, Bob Janssen, JP Bell, Logan Daniels, and Robby Hansen.  Thank you to Rose of RCK Images Photography, LLC for all the great pictures and her contributions to the MCHA.  There were so many people that stepped up and helped to make this a successful show, I hope I didn't miss anyone.

The MCHA Board will now undertake the task of planning for 2025 with the hope of making it bigger and better. If you have ideas, suggestions, etc., contact a Board member. Thank you to all the members for their continued support of our association.  Good luck to the MCHA members showing at the World finals in Ft. Worth; Travis Grover $5,000 Novice Non Pro, Jenna Bell $25,000 Novice Non Pro, Jim Neshem $35,000 Non Pro, Kurt Kostrzewski $15,000 Amateur, and Ella Armstrong $2,000 Limited Rider.

Have a wonderful Fall season.
