Sylvan Nelson Traveling Trophy Award

Sylvan Nelson was a huge supporter of the cutting back in the late 70's and 80's and (maybe into the 90's).  He raised cattle on his farm in southern MN and the Minnesota Cutting Horse Association held many cuttings there.  The exibitors would go out to the pasture and gather the cattle for the cutting. The pen was built out of corral panels down in a beautiful valley. Sylvan never charged the club anything, he just loved the cutting and wanted it to grow.  We started the Traveling Trophy in his honor.

* Qualifications for earning the trophy is based on total score from showing in the class for the weekend.
